The Lexington Rodeo Association (LRA) was established on July 11, 2000
by a group of concerned local and area residents. The arena, donated by the American Legion Post
No. 6, has been in jeopardy the last few years of being torn down. The LRA's continuing mission
is to repair, restore, hold events and functions at the arena for the benefit of the youth and
the local community, while holding on to the tradition of the early American West heritage.
You do not have to be a resident of Lexington or Lee County to join our association. Any
interested persons and/or business that wants to help support the youth of the surrounding
area to be more involved and learn the sport of rodeo, horsemanship and community involvement,
should apply to be a member of the Lexington Rodeo Association.
